The Namuwongo Literacy Project takes 20 children out of the slums and places them in a classroom in a regular school. These children will now receive a uniform, socks & shoes, 2 meals a day, and school supplies. They will attend class daily, learning under the careful instruction of our Ugandan teacher, Mrs. Agnes Kirungi.

The goal is to provide these children with a Primary Education, in the hopes of opening avenues which they would not otherwise have the opportunity of experiencing. Learning to read and write will empower these children.
